Hi MUFaddicts!
They made it!! Hazard called me this morning around 9:45am from the top of Mt. Katahdin! Lots of noise and excitement ensued, plus lots of photos were taken. He sounded super pumped, and I think the pure joy of their accomplishment will take a while to wear off. Crocstar was the first to arrive, then Spoon and then Hazard joining them third. They said that they would just hang out and party waiting for other hikers to arrive and join the celebration.
My husband left this morning and is scheduled to arrive in Bangor, Maine at about 1:30pm this afternoon. He’ll rent a car and drive up to Baxter State Park to fetch the guys and take them into town for dinner and festivities. They should be back home Thursday evening!
Hazard has promised to catch up on his writing when he gets settled, plus there will definitely be more photos!
