Day 29

From Hazard’s notes:

Day 29: June 7, 2009
Travel:
From: Damascus, VA
To: Zero Day!

Weather:
Sunny and beautiful the whole day.
Money: $20 for memory card reader, $10 for pizza, I think my dad got the rest. Thanks dad!
Notes of the day:
AM: We woke up slowly but in time for breakfast. A large spread of biscuits with gravy, pancakes and all the accouterments. We were soon visited by my dad; we showed him new content for the blog until Spoon’s cousin Jamie and her husband Johnathan surprised us with a visit. Our first order of business was to find a new place to stay the night as our room had been booked. We found new lodging at the Augusta’s Appalachian Inn, a very nice place with many, many well deserved comforts. Thank you dad for pitching for the room, it was a very gentlemanly gesture. We all went to the nearby town of Abington for a very fancy lunch, the kind where there are only about 5 things on the menu; very pinkies up.
PM: Jamie went to bike the Virginia creeper trail which gave us time to do chores. We resuplied on food and repackaged our meals while drinking the wine provided by the Inn. We also went to the outfitters to get some very basic gear like new lighter rope and socks. After my dad left we ate dinner with Loyal at Quincey pizza, then went back to the Inn to relax and watch movies until Loyal left and we went to bed.
